When ‘Liking’ a Brand Online Voids the Right to Sue

General Mills and some other companies, according to the above article, are quietly modifying privacy policies and adding terms of service in efforts to ban consumers from bringing legal action against the companies. By using a coupon for a product, or liking the company or product on Facebook, they say you agree to binding arbitration if you have any sort of dispute with the company or dissatisfaction with the product. Would this apply even when serious harm is done by a company or product? Maybe.

Ah, corporate America. So much creative energy there.
