Missed yesterday, now I owe two posts for the month. I know you're all out there keeping a tally, right?

Most of yesterday was spent driving from Dave's house to mine. The drive was uneventful except for the rentless gloomy skies, which eventually released moderate to heavy rain for the stretch from Wapakoneta north to my driveway. At least I had my dinner and gasoline break without getting soaked. I paid $2.99 per gallon of gas in Sidney, which was the first time I've paid less than $3/gallon in months and months.

The soundtrack for the first half of the trip was a series of radio stations that all played what's known as the AAA format, "Adult Album Alternative." That was a surprise, because I figured once I got out of the listening area of Louisville's WFPK I would be stuck with the usual country, pop, and religion stations. For the second half of the trip I listened to the greatest hits collection from Counting Crows, Fleet Foxes' Helplessness Blues, and Dave Carter & Tracy Grammer's Tanglewood Tree, all with a consistent percussion track from the rain hitting the car.

And today, it was sunny with an achingly blue sky. Well, too much sunshine yesterday while I was driving would've given me a headache, anyway.

The weekend itself was pretty quiet. The high points were dinners, three evenings dining out and one cooking in. There was a little shopping thrown in, and a lot of listening to music in the evenings.
