I wasn't trying to look for anything Sarah Palin was saying — In fact, I never wanted to type her name in an LJ post again, honest! — but after I read the BBC's coverage of Egypt (where things appear to be coming to a boil) I saw a headline that read "CPAC: Top US conservatives meet amid Sarah Palin row." I had not heard of a row before, only that she wasn't at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) due to a scheduling conflict. She's one of the few notable conservatives who is not there. That doesn't mean she's not making an impact. This bit from the BBC's article made me giggle:

Meanwhile, ex-senator Rick Santorum and Sarah Palin have exchanged barbs.

Mr Santorum suggested that Ms Palin was skipping the conference because she wouldn't be getting paid.

But speaking on Fox News on Wednesday night, Ms Palin suggested Mr Santorum was "uninformed" and a "knuckle dragging Neanderthal".
The question isn't whether she's right. The question is whether it was redundant to say this, given where Mr. Santorum was. One also wonders what Mr. Santorum said to cause Ms. Palin to start swinging her club around.

The GEICO caveman was said to have been quite irate.

That would satisfy me. Unfortunately, there seems to be a chunk of the electorate that might not notice if their candidates are fools.
