Farewell to Whiskey

I have a new offering on YouTube. I'm playing mandolin on an old fiddle tune called "Farewell to Whiskey," an obviously sad piece. My rendition is very short, basically just one time through (or technically, two A parts and two B parts). It's not my usual repertoire, but it was good because it let me experiment with a production method that gave me pretty good sound in the comfort of my own home.

I was inspired by the Ott Lake Rambler's guitar version of the same tune, which he posted earlier this year. Now we need an actual fiddle player to play the song. We know one, but if she hasn't done it yet I don't think she will (and yes, I'm being oblique, for the sake of privacy). I know there are fiddlers on YouTube who've played it, but we don't know any of them.

For those who may not know, the piece is called "Farewell to Whiskey" because the composer was going to quit drinking. He wasn't going to Alcoholics Anonymous, though; it was death that would part him from the liquid love of his life.

Thanks :) Not to downplay the guitar work, but the kitten makes that video.
