There are days I wonder why I read the news, but it was while reading news that I found out about this: 5 million frozen pizzas recalled — Important news to me, because I had one of these death pizzas in my freezer! It was in the running to be dinner tonight! A Totino's Party Crust Pepperoni Pizza with the possibility of an extra topping of E. coli! Oh no! Well, it was yummy consigned to the garbage can, alas. The manufacturer says to send them the UPC and they'll send a new pizza, but honestly, who wants that now?

Seriously, what's up with America's food production? Lately, every two weeks or so we get this huge food recall of one sort or another. Is it too much to ask for food that won't make us ill?

Re: OTOH
Nope, it shouldn't and there were only eight people in Tenn. who came down with it (as far as I know). So far I'm thinking that eight people didn't bother to wash their hands, not a factory contamination.

Re: OTOH
Either that, or they don't cook their pizzas?
