Friends who have been to my house in the last few years know how much I loved my old sofa, because that was obviously the only reason why it was still in my living room. Yesterday, I took delivery on a new sofa, and the old one finally found its way to the curb. The new one is leather (ooooh!) and slightly bigger than the old one. It's also very nice to nap on.

Not only that, I now have a new hot water tank and a new kitchen faucet. They're not very nice to nap on, but they don't leak, either, and that's the important thing. Yes, yesterday was an expensive day at the songdog camp.

Saturday night, I have a dilemma yet again. Mike Dorn is playing at Motor City Joe's Coffeehouse on Saturday night, at exactly the same time Rob Hayes, Hugo Cruz, and Lisa Hurt are playing at Trixie's Coffee. I think I'm going to see Mike, since last week I passed him up to go see the symphony. But really, I wish one of the shows would get moved to tonight, so I could go to both.

FYI: You know the adage, "Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity."? That has a name, Hanlon's Razor. I knew the phrase but didn't know it was up there with Murphy's Law and Godwin's Law as being famous enough to be called something.

Yes, and Hanlon's Razor can be adequately applied to SixApart's serious gaffe this week. The part performed by SixApart and its staff was due to stupidity. But the part performed by the WFI hate group was malice.

WFI sure doesn't seem reputable. I've been searching for two days for unbiased information about 'em (you know, not their website, and not anything from LJ users), and there ain't nuthin'. That is no ringing endorsement, to me.
