I was driving to work today -- way early, much earlier than usual, I'm so proud -- and I got behind an SUV. On the left side of the back window of this SUV was a decal supporting one of America's armed services, complete with its emblem. At least I guess it was one of America's armed services. I had never heard of the "United States Marine Core" before this morning.

O English language, I weep for thee.... even though the mangled word in question was French, of course.

On the other side of the SUV's back window was a decal memorializing a loved one who had passed away. I hope the person got his/her loved one's name spelled correctly, at least.

(Ten points to the person who recognizes the source of that subject line...)

MAN! Thees peeple and they're pathetic useige of English makes me crazy. Its enouph to drive you to drink. (Does that count as a designated driver?)

The one that makes the vein in my forehead stand out is "This needs copied." I just want to scream "TO BE, TO BE, TO BE..."

I don't think you can beat my story of the sign I saw in a clothing department once: "SALE! Mens' Sox's"

More and more, it seems that most people just don't care. They don't think it matters and don't want to hear about it. So much for spelling, grammar, and literacy.
