Weekend update

Street signs, stop lights, and fences are showing a fringe of mini-icicles, and have for a couple of days as it has been lightly raining on and off since Friday night. But it hasn't yet been cold enough to cause slippery roads and sidewalks, or much worse damage. Maybe we'll be lucky and the precipitation will go directly to snow without going through a freezing rain phase. I wouldn't put a lot of money on it yet, though. The only consolation is that I don't have to work tomorrow, so whatever type of accumulation will not have to be directly experienced by me at 9:00 a.m.

She always looks that way with photos. I think she's still trying to figure out why lights flash like that every once in a while. (She's a first-born, see. There'll be a gazillion photos.)

Hellmutt: I think she know this picture will never go away...

On the way to work (which was a fine drive in the rain) the sky south of 8 mile, and west of where I was, lit up a few times as if with lightning. Very pretty.

We have all kinds of great blackmail potential just from the first six months. :)

LIGHTNING? Wow. But then I was surprised to wake up to no snow at all, and really not much ice. Although it was more ice than I wanted to see.......
