Having a good time, wish you were here

Watson, Indiana

The drive down on Tuesday was wholly uneventful. Wolf and I are doing our usual grand tour of restaurants, and I expect to weigh approximately 900 pounds by the time I come home. We went to The Nashville House today and had the ginormous chicken dinner with biscuits and apple butter. Let it be known that we both took some of the chicken home as leftovers, but there was no hope for long-term survival of the biscuits.

We also drove through Brown County State Park, near Nashville. It was a beautiful sunny day, and the trees are just past peak so the landscape was still very colorful. I took photos, and I'm thinking they'll be scanned in sometime this weekend. (Film camera, see, because my digital has gone flakey again.)

Tomorrow I'm visiting my cousins Melinda and Matt across the river in Louisville, at which point I'll drag them to the greatest CD store in the world, Ear-X-Tacy, to use a gift card I got for my birthday. CD shopping for free is one of the true pleasures of life.

It was at least 74 degrees today. This weather is absolutely insane, not that I'm complaining too much.

Sounds like a terrific trip! I'm trying not to think too hard about the restaurant tour... (Pauses to do his impression of a Pavlov dog..)
