I uploaded two songs to my Myspace.com page today. Check them out if you dare!

It's vacation time for me. It's an actual vacation, not just a long weekend. Woo-hoo! Bad time of the year for it, work-wise, but if I don't use these vacation days I'll lose them. It actually started on Friday, and I went up to Java Junction in West Branch, Mich., where my friend Leslie Frederick hosts a music circle night. The coffee is good and the audience appreciative. I stayed overnight at Leslie's house and enjoyed a beeyoutiful afternoon outside in the autumn Michigan sun.

I got back to Ferndale in time to be part of Steve Deasy's CD release party at Xhedos Cafe on Saturday night. Steve was joined onstage by Jere Stormer and Dan Hazlett. It was a good time. Too bad the room wasn't very full. Must've been that Halloween party thang going on.

Tomorrow I'm heading to greater metropolitan Watson, Indiana to hang out with Wolf for a few days. I think we're going to be moving furniture and stuff. I better get a chicken dinner at the Nashville House out of this.

Oooh. Nashville House. Do they still have those fried biscuits and baked apple butter? I bet they are really expensive these days.

Yes they do. MMMMMMMMMMM. That's the best reason to go. And it is expensive, something like $18 for the chicken dinner. But it's half a chicken per plate, with potatoes and a veggie, and all the biscuits and apple butter you want. My plan is to eat a lot of yummy, warm biscuits and then take some of the chicken home in a doggie bag.

Funny, I've never been to Frankenmuth, Mich. for the famous chicken dinners there, and I may never go, but Nashville House is a different story.

I've been to Frankenmuth once. It was worthwhile. But I've been to Nashville House several times and would go out of my way to visit again. So your suspicions are confirmed, I guess.
