More auto madness

To the person with the shiny new BMW in the parking lot at work: I've heard of a lot of promotions, but I hadn't heard of car dealers giving you two parking spaces in any lot you choose. I hope you don't mind, but I had to park in the same row as your car, which was parked diagonally across two spaces. Maybe next time you should bring your other car, you know, the one you don't have to worry about whether anyone parks next to.

And don't even get me started about the latest national day of prayer this Friday.

I would think that, when some snooty schmuck pulls a parking job like that, they're more likely to have their car damaged - usually from someone who frequently has a huge ring of keys with him. (And who shall remain nameless... ahem...)

Spencer Gifts used to sell a set of business cards to leave on windshields. One of my favorites of these was "If you f**k the way you park, you'll never get it in." I'm guessing the owner of the Bimmer has no kids....

What day of prayer Friday? (Other than me praying that my flight has the same number of takeoffs AND landings..)

Oops... hope this doesn't get you started...

Yes, an equal number of takeoffs and landings is a good thing. Especially if they're equally tranquil takeoffs and landings.

Bush announced a "National Day of Prayer and Rememberance" for this coming Friday. Here's the press release: http://www.whitehouse.gov/news/releases/2005/09/20050908-12.html . I heard about it first on the radio news this morning. I guess the governor has issued her own proclamation in support of this too. This comes on the heels of the three day National Weekend of Prayer and Rememberance (actually he called it "days") for 9/11/01. It almost seems that this president likes prayer a lot.

Since the American people started responding before his administration did this is about the only original & official contribution that he could make. Though, like giving aid to the survivors, people didn't wait for him to tell them to pray for the New Orleanians. I don't think that we even do the "National Day Of Mourning," do we?

was that a windshield note? ..yer way too nice.

No, I didn't even leave that as a note. I'm way, way too nice. It wasn't a huge problem today, but on Tuesdays the lot really fills up so we can't afford people taking two spaces for one car.

Bad parking just bugs me.
