News mini-roundup

Sauna to keep bird flu at bay in Finland. Not so much for people as for clothes in this case -- three hours in a 70°C (158°F) sauna will kill the bird flu virus. Um, okay....

This just in: New York Philharmonic Hosts Open-Mic Night. So much for Xhedos Cafe's open mics -- I'm going to the Big Apple.

They're at home... I can't reach them from work. :-) I still need to scan them in, and they got printed so badly that I don't know if there'll be anything good once I scan them and tweak them. I'll get a couple done tonight, though, promise.

But are you up to learning "Highline" all over again on, say, a bass clarinet...?

Hmm... a classical open mic could be really good, or really scary. I present to you three potentially horrifying words:

Bass clarinet, huh? That has possibilities....

"Amateur violin solo" makes me cringe severely.

Why not a video headstone. With facial recognition software you could have personalized messages to loved one's.

Loved ones would probably want to change the channel to MTV or something.
