CBC is still having its "labor disruption." They're planning to show a Canadian Football Leage game this weekend on the TV network without commentators - the audio portion will be what the stadium announcer says.
Neil Young is releasing a CD and filming a documentary, and both are going to be called
"Prairie Wind". Hey, that's
MY song*, I got dibs!
I'm going to be on TV ... John Finan (
jjfmi) is being taped for an episode of the award-winning cable access show
Krystal's Motortown Cafe, and I'll be helping by playing mandolin on one of his songs. The taping is tonight.
Krystal's is on several cable systems in metro Detroit (unfortunately not Warren's, because ... well, they just have interesting ideas of programming cable access in Warren, and I'll leave it at that). I think it's even on some systems outside the state too; don't ask me where, but their website should say.
Then Saturday, I'm off to Cincinnati and Louisville to visit cousins with my mom and sister. Wish us luck.
* If you followed this link before 1:40 p.m. U.S. Eastern time (1840 GMT) today, and then tried to see other songs, you might have encountered some 404s... but all the pages should be up and OK now.

Of course, if anyone really WANTS us to work up a guitar/mandolin version of "She Bangs", just let us know...
