Been a Wafer a While

OK, so I only got as far away as Lapeer and Imlay City (and if you think those are odd names for towns, you're right). Wolf came to visit for the weekend, and we did stuff that involved very little computer time for once. Dining experiences: Mexican (Juan's Hacienda in Madison Heights) on Friday, pseudo-Mongolian (BD's Mongolian BBQ in Royal Oak - brand new location just a block south of the old one) on Saturday, and Mediterranean (La Shish in Clinton Township) on Sunday. La Shish was near the end of a trip I dragged Wolf on... we saw Adams Castle in Bloomfield Township, the DaimlerChrysler American headquarters building, the Pontiac Silverdome, the Palace of Auburn Hills, the tiny hamlet of Lake Orion, and a whole lot of mileage to and around the aforementioned Lapeer and Imlay City. No photos taken, though. I hope no one's disappointed.

Music News: I'm hosting the Wednesday open mic at Xhedos this week, sitting in for Jere Stormer who has another commitment. Come on down! Anyone flying in from somewhere, get in touch first and I'll put your name on the list.

Note to potential interviewees: Between work (which has chewed up my brain into little mushy bits), Wolf's visit, and an unreasonable urge to craft very creative questions, I'm kind of behind. I haven't forgotten. I'll have questions this week, even if I have to resort to "If you could be a tree, any tree...."

I've been to Bliss, Michigan. There's not much there anymore. (The music festival is actually about six miles away.)

There's Nirvana, Walhalla, and Paradise in Michigan, to go along with Bliss and Hell. Oh, and there's Christmas too.

But you have to go to Indiana to visit Gnaw Bone.

Weird city names: There's always Truth Or Consequences, New Mexico.

Slightly off-topic side note: As far as (re)naming cites for TV shows.. hmmm...

The L Word, MI. (If someone wanted to rename Ferndale, perhaps?)
Six Feet Under, Rhode Island (Which would be easy to pull off, actually...)

(ducking)

Music: Wow... deja vu! I might possibly make it out that night!(We'll see, though... got other musical happenings later that week, and my family just got back from out of town.)
